Oboda Fiesta: a system for faster, more consistent product delivery

Oboda Fiesta design system and purchase order interface
TIMELINE

2025–present

ROLE

Lead UX designer

TEAM

Oboda product team

TL;DR

Oboda Fiesta is a living design system that brings coherence to a growing ERP product—so common patterns feel familiar and new work can move with more confidence.

Disclaimer: This project is a high-level overview — some specifics are covered by NDA. Happy to walk through the details in a call.

CONTEXT

ERP products grow quickly; inconsistency grows even faster.

As Oboda expanded across inventory, purchasing, sales, and fulfillment, interface patterns needed a shared language. The goal was not a component library for its own sake, but a system that supported real business workflows and faster cross-functional decisions.

SYSTEM STRATEGY

Build from the patterns that carry the most product weight.

I started with repeatable building blocks across high-use flows: navigation, data tables, status, forms, notifications, and approval moments. Each pattern is grounded in behavior and content guidance—not just visual styling.

FOUNDATIONS

Color, type, spacing, elevation, and accessibility rules establish a dependable baseline.

COMPONENTS

Reusable controls support the density and complexity of operational work.

PATTERNS

Documented states guide complete flows, including approvals, exceptions, and feedback.

DESIGN DECISIONS

Design for scanning, state, and trust.

OUTCOME

A shared product language that scales with the platform.

Fiesta gives design and engineering a more deliberate way to create, review, and extend product UI. It is still evolving alongside Oboda, with new components prioritized by the workflows teams are building next.
